Description:Valicor is an innovative separations company that prides itself on customer support to implement separation solutions. Our client base is diverse and serves clients from GM, Ford, and Harley Davidson to dry grind corn ethanol plants. Valicor develops solutions to create value added process streams from previously undervalued "waste." To support our mission, we are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination of purchases and the receipt of goods and services. The Purchasing Coordinator will accurately generate appropriately authorized purchase orders, communicate purchase orders with vendors, accurately receive goods or services and resolve and discrepancies, and maintain all relevant records. The Purchasing Coordinator will report directly to the Divisional Controller and will be located in Dexter, Michigan.
Duties:Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Responsibility for the processing of purchase orders as requested by various employees according to purchasing policy
• Coding of purchase orders through a full understanding of chart of accounts and organizational structure of the company
• Submission of purchase order to vendor and follow-up acceptance and handling of exceptions
• Maintenance and reconciliation of various inventories
• Completion of all month end inventory reconciliations
• Reconciling pass through revenue and pass through cogs accounts prior to month end close
• Perform special projects as needed
• An Associate’s degree in Accounting or other related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Requires 2 years of relevant coursework or relevant professional experience in order to gain the necessary skill to perform the requirements of the position
• Must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders
• Intermediate proficiency in a variety of computer software programs, particularly Excel is required
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
